Federal Opportunity Advisor:
Chief Information Officer –
Commodity Solutions (CIO-CS)
With a ceiling value of $20 billion, the National Institute of Health’s new Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), Chief Information Officer – Commodity Solutions (CIO-CS), was identified as one of Deltek’s Top 20 federal opportunities for FY 2014.
Released May 7, 2014, CIO-CS will replace Electronic Commodities Store (ECS III) and is intended to be the tactical complement to the CIO-SP3 GWACs. The current program has more than 14,000 task orders awarded to date and more than $1.3 billion in reported obligations. Of particular interest to smaller firms is that approximately half of the CIO-CS awards will be reserved for small businesses.
