Top Opportunities, FY 2016 Health and Human Services

State and Local spending to support health and social services agency operations has shown a robust 6.5% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2010 to 2015. This growth was due in large part to the Affordable Care Act, but it is expected to taper off in the next five years to a 4.9% CAGR.

In 2016, states will continue with their renewed, post-ACA focus on human services technology. However, in those states that expanded Medicaid eligibility, the focus is on efficient Medicaid systems with reduced fraud and increased data analytics capabilities.
