Exciting News on New Vision Product DevelopmentsDeltek has been part of the architecture and engineering industry for 30 years. The primary focus of our innovation is to enable AE firms to be more efficient and successful. Deltek’s engineering team has been extremely busy this year, and I want to take this moment to share four very exciting product developments. These technological innovations address the key trends of mobility, cloud applications, data-driven business intelligence, and usability. Taken together, the new product developments change and enhance how people work. First, the Deltek Vision Mobile Timesheet app is now in limited availability (LA), and initial feedback is very positive. An article in this newsletter has information on how to join the LA program, and gain access to this time-saving application. We also recently launched Deltek First Vision Essentials, the first cloud-based ERP solution built specifically for the AE industry. This is in direct response to growing firms that want the proven power of Deltek Vision, but prefer that Deltek’s experts manage and maintain it. Coming in the third quarter is Vision Navigator, a tool that gives Project Managers an intuitive, easy way to view and manage their projects. Are your PMs hesitant to use centralized project management tools? Vision Navigator overcomes that, and allows PMs to quickly assess project performance. We designed Vision Navigator to deliver critical information to Project Managers when they need it and how they need it. We are excited by early client feedback about how Vision Navigator helps ensure the successful and profitable management of projects. Also slated for release in 2012 is Vision 7.0, the next major release of Vision. Among the many changes are usability enhancements, resource planning with generic attributes, employee realization, contract management tracking on projects, and enhanced analysis cubes. A significant Vision 7 feature is user-defined info centers. This capability lets you to create your own, fully customizable info centers, and allows you to track, link, and integrate data with other information within Vision. Companies we’ve talked to regarding this feature have suggested applications to track recruiting, service requests, IDIQ contracts, and country information. User defined info centers extend Vision’s footprint and value, and the sky is the limit in terms of its many applications. This is an exciting time as we launch these four new product releases!
